WTF teams up with Chrysalis Vision to develop Driving over Lemons
Matchgirl’s strike drama being developed as 4-part TV drama series
Stan Lee's Lucky Man
Whistling Thorn Films was set up on the back of the development commission of a six-part TV series for the BBC. Following the production of several widely screened and successful short dramas with emerging film-makers for the UK Film Council, Whistling Thorn Films has been building a development slate of commercial feature films, working with established writing talent such as Deborah Moggach (writer of Working Title's Pride and Prejudice) and the BAFTA-nominated Paul Mendelson, creator of the BBC hit sitcom My Hero and, more recently, the Dreamworks Animation/Fox animated comedy series Neighbours from Hell.
Our development slate currently includes a TV comedy-drama based on the international best-seller Driving over Lemons by Chris Stewart, with Andy de Emmony (Him, Stan Lee's Lucky Man) attached to direct, and Matchgirls, a 4-part TV drama based on a true story, which has Richard Clark (The Midwinter of The Spirit, Outlander) attached to direct.
